1. Print the image of your Felicitous Felis Catus. Cut away any excess paper with a pair of scissors so that there’s only a small border outline around the shape of the figurine. 

2. Print the image for a second time. 

3. Align it with the first image and stick them together with glue or tape to make a double-sided image, cutting the second down to the same size as the first.

4. Stand in front of a window in your home during the daytime, and hold the Catus up to the light. Say, in a calm voice at your regular speaking volume: Felicitous Felis Catus, let your luck shine down on me like sunlight.

5. Bring the Catus to your lips and press a kiss to the tip of the figurine’s ears.

6. Turn the image around and hold the other side up to the light. Say, in the same voice and at the same volume: Felicitous Felis Catus, bring your fortunate rain to my struggling soul desert.

7. Bring it to your lips and kiss the ears of the figurine once again.

8. Hold the Catus against your chest and conclude the connection ritual by saying, in the same voice one final time: Felicitous Felis Catus, your glow of goodness will put me on track to achieve my many and various goals.

9. Find a safe space to store your Catus for the next six months (or as long as it takes for you to receive your fill of luck).

Read these instructions in full before you start to ensure you can complete the ritual correctly on your first attempt. Once you’ve done that, it should be a reasonably straightforward process.

It’s a journey from acquaintance to true friendship, in a way. And it’s a journey that will lead you to luck if you can do it properly!
