All of that talk is valuable; don’t misinterpret me. That’s my proverbial bread and butter as a mystic mentor!

But what I sometimes forget to appreciate, at least to the same degree, are the elemental forces that work in harmony on our very own planet to make all of human life possible, magical and wonderful. 

Fire. Water. Air. Earth. Each unique, each a wonder to behold. 

Fire, first discovered by cavepeople, brought heat and warmth to our lives and saw in the industrial revolution. Water kept us clean and hydrated. Nowadays, we even use it to create energy! Air is our very life force, the breath in our lungs. And Earth… Earth is the most terminally underrated element of them all, given that it offers flora and fauna a chance to thrive and grow. (Including people.)

Each elemental force is strong in its own right – and even more so when acting in an interconnected web of power.

But Earth, specifically, has been playing on my mind lately. I’ve been working on enhancing my telluric divination methods to use her powers better, studying “Geomancy,” and generally taking the time to give appreciation where it’s due.

One geomantic method that’s been working well for me revolves around determining fated events through interpreting markings in tossed soil. 

It’s similar to water divination –  or reading tea leaves at the bottom of a cup. And it’s a learning curve, but it’s so rewarding!
