YOUR BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO CRYSTAL CHANNELING

The journey to becoming a channeler is long and complex. Start with this guidance, and continue your journey from there. As your knowledge deepens, so will your connection to your crystal collection and ability to imbue and manifest energy.

• Recognize the interconnected universe, first and foremost – Before you look at specific crystals or begin to channel anything, you must understand WHY crystals can become so powerful. You must recognize our universe as a deeply connected entity. You must then recognize crystals as highly conductive conduits, perfect for energy transference in such conditions. This is your perfect psychic starting point.
• Learn the typical crystal energy profiles to be aware of – Some crystals tend to be naturally imbued with specific energies, making it easier or harder to bring additional energies into the mix. Your Great Green Light, for instance, is aventurine. It was complementary to my Push Stone creation plan because aventurine naturally possesses energies of determination and hope.
• Develop your crystal collection for ceremonial use – When you know more about the crystals commonly used by mystics, you can start to build yourself a collection of crystal “staples” for ceremonial use. This will take longer than expected because you MUST feel a particular energetic resonance with every crystal you add. For this reason, we’d recommend purchasing in person if possible.  
• Develop a meditation practice and sharpen your grounding skills – You may already be a profoundly meditative person who can easily access a focused state of relaxation or find calm and center in moments of stress. If not, you’ll need to improve in these areas inherently tied to channeling. Master the ability to empty your mind at will, and your next steps should go smoothly.
• Develop a CRYSTAL meditation practice, tying efforts together – With a crystal collection and a good meditation practice, you can start to bring your crystals into your daily/weekly/etc. mindfulness rituals. I, for instance, tend to meditate in the center of a circle of alternating crystals and tealights. Doing this will help solidify your bond with AND increase your knowledge of every crystal you own. 
• Start with a simple, well-matched energy channeling – Don’t start with something hugely ambitious and overexert yourself. During my first crystal channeling, I sought to imbue an agate rock with energies of love, care and warmth for just one week. It was challenging but possible, and it didn’t make me feel so defeated that I gave up then and there. I’d recommend something similar to you.
• Focus on careful intentions and consistent approaches – As you keep trying and channeling, sometimes failing and sometimes succeeding, work hard to note what IS working and remain consistent about it. Also, make sure that your intentions going into a channeling session don’t wander from “I want to do X thing to Y crystal” into “I want to be better at channeling.” If they do, you’ll get nowhere.
• Don’t forget to cleanse and recharge your crystals regularly – I tend to do a full crystal cleanse outdoors on the night of the full moon each month, but I recharge each crystal as and when this is needed based on client requests and unfolding situations. Keep cleanse and charge requirements in mind as you build your collection and develop your practice. Both are 100% essential to a channeler.
