Jupiter’s associations with energies of fortune, optimism and abundance are about as old as humanity, as far as I can tell. (Even civilizations pre-dating the written word would tell stories about the planets, their properties, and their unique personality profiles!)

For instance, in ancient Roman mythology, Jupiter is the king of the gods. The Roman equivalent of Greek mythology’s Zeus.
