This annual event will peak in the early hours of August 13^th, 2024, potentially reaching a rate of 100 meteors per hour. And it’ll be quite a sight to behold. 

But even more than being amazing to witness? The Perseids peak is a powerful time, energetically, just like the Aquariid-Capricornid double peak. 

Originating from the Swift-Tuttle comet, the shower has a radiant point in the Perseus constellation. 

This radiant point defines the energies it brings forth. Energies of stamina, adventure, fearlessness and unbowed enthusiasm. Energies you could benefit from greatly – and soon WILL. 

In the spirit of Perseus, this action tied to the Perseids peak is all about increasing your energy reserves to allow more room in your life for spontaneity, fun and adventure. 

Think of it as akin to increasing the elasticity of your capacity.

Please complete the following steps as close to the peak as you can…

(Late on the 12^th or very early on the 13^th would be the ideal time – but you have a few days of leeway on either side if you can’t manage that for one reason or another.)

1. Begin by stretching well and warming your body up for some gentle movement. You can do this either outside OR in your home, positioned directly in front of a window that offers a view of nature.
2. Standing tall, feet pressed flat to the ground, splay your arms out to either side of your body, level with your shoulders. Spread your fingertips out, maximizing the ability of energy to flow through and around each hand. 
3. Close your eyes, stand as still as possible, and repeat the following Expansion Recitation:

“I call into a world unknown,

Unseen yet endlessly present, 

And from that world, I ask for more, 

Extra length for my golden tether,

Great constellation Perseus, 

I feel your hands outstretched,

Shooting stars race through the sky, 

And I pull their energy into my chest, 

 I am like the flora, ever-growing,

I am never stagnant, never settled, 

Should there be space to expand, 

I’ll carve out room for new to nestle,

I call into a world unknown,

Unseen yet endlessly present, 

And from that world, I ask for more, 

Extra length for my golden tether.”

4. Finger by finger, curl your palms into fists, imagining that you are grasping onto invisible strings.
5. Eyes still closed, bring your fists together in front of you and slowly unfurl them against each other. Visualize the fusing of your two strings into one long, connected piece.
6. Both hands against each other, metaphorically fused in a position mimicking prayer, lift them over your head and down to the back of your neck as though donning a string necklace. 
7. Let your palms separate at this stage, flattening against the neck as they pull apart and leave the string behind. Drop your hands, take up a neutral stance and breathe deeply. 
8. Conclude when you’re ready by repeating the Expansion Dedication 

“Great constellation Perseus, 

I dedicate to my Energetic Expansion, 

I know that there are risks involved

With overextension – emotional sanctions, 

Thus, in growing my reserves, I swear,

I shan’t forget all personal limits,

Still, I’ll rest, and breathe, and muse,

Still, I’ll know I cannot always be winning, 

I grow my strength and power, 

Yet I know I am not limitless,

I make room for adventure,

I keep sight of why I am doing this.”

That’s all there is to it. 

When the moment is right, and the energy of the Perseids is ripe for the picking, completing this Energetic Expansion as I’ve laid it out for you will make a world of difference.

You won’t get so tired so quickly. 

You’ll find your tolerance for adventure much increased.
