The Druidic Periapt

       !

Whether you have experience in the mystical realm or not you’ve no doubt noticed the pouches that some psychics and magus carry about their necks – many are imbued with an aroma. In many cultures, these pouches or bags are considered holy, and are worn to ward off evil and bring good luck – that’s precisely what The Druidic Periapt is, and it’s a genuine magical object with a great and ancient tradition.

Nature is a force that has been worshiped by many peoples for thousands of years. And it’s no wonder,         – it’s the most powerful force on earth. As many cultures have learned, keeping nature with you at all times (especially in the modern era, where we are spending less and less time within it), can allow us to benefit from the power it contains.

Various herbs, flowers and leaves are placed inside these pouches for different reasons: lavender can be used to calm the spirit and the spirits of those around you. Ginseng is often used to bring luck and health. Some add dried roots and berries to create a more potent aroma, one that benefits their mood throughout the day. Despite each culture having a slightly different way of using these objects, their benefits are proven. The source of magic has always come back to the natural world and what it gives us of it’s own breadth.

There are many reasons why a periapt or sacred pouch has benefited people throughout the years, both in secret and otherwise. It’s a discreet talisman, and one that has been worn in times of anti-magic sentiment; it goes unnoticed by large and allows one to benefit from it’s power without the need to spill any secrets.

Because they are hand-made, they are inexpensive and don’t involve any precious metals and gems, unlike other forms of magic. They can be made with whatever is around you, and by virtue, this has made it one of the most popular forms of protective magic in the world.

They are easy to make, and require little attention day to day. Instead of reiterating a ritual on a regular basis or having to maintain it’s power, it remains strong and silent – a loyal companion to your every day life.

When created with care, The Druidic Periapt will change your life. Soon, you'll have the luck, fortune and happiness you desire and the ability to carry it with you wherever you go.

It’s important to remember as you prepare this, that it’s magic only remains intact as long as the object does – a tear or opening can disperse the energies that reside inside. It’s important to treat your periapt with great care and ensure it’s safety.

First, you will need: 100% silk, ribbon or string.

It’s imperative that you use silk – not every fabric is the same, and many simply can’t contain the mystical power that sits within it. When you create the pouch from silk, you will be able to contain all the material within safely. When choosing the silk and the ribbon, of course, not all colors are the same! Color can be directly linked to different effects in the grand scheme of magic – review what speaks most to you as you continue:

Yellow: Yellow invokes the sun, and speaks to joy and life. It’s importance in many nature based religions should not be underestimated – while some associate it with wealth, it’s connecting to the life-giving star in our sky is most important.

Orange: Orange speaks well to the creative mind, and can be used to combat blockages when working on creative projects. It invokes the stars and thus, confidence and creativity.

Red: Red is a passionate color, one invoking strength, power and warmth. In some cultures, it invokes the gods of war, and in others, the gods of love. Red is passionate vitality, symbolizing the blood that flows throughout our veins.

Pink: Pink is emotional, and more akin to the world of the unconscious, and dreaming. By nature, it is a protective color and one that envelops you in a feeling of peace, understanding and healing.

Purple: Purple or violet invokes intuition, knowledge and meditation. This is an ideal color to choose if you are a more mindful person, or one who spends more time in the academic realm. It bolsters the power of the mind and focuses more on intellectual pursuits.

Blue: Blue, like it’s close companion green, is one of the two most powerful colors on the planet, invoking the ocean and the water from whence all life sprang. Blue is the color of hope, optimism and deep tradition. Considered extremely valuable in many ancient cultures, blue has often been associated with exotic beauty.

Green: Green is the color of the earth – of all life. It speaks to growth, pleasure and a rich, beautiful future. As I mentioned, Green is one of the two most powerful colors on the planet, as it speaks to the beauty of nature all around us. Like spring, it means fertility, rebirth and renewal.

Black: While black has often suffered a negative meaning, it’s true connotations are that of protection, security and the warmth of the womb itself. It speaks also to fertile land and land inundated with nourishment and moisture. It’s a powerful color and one used to ward off negative energies.

White: White is a color of purification, cleansing and spirituality. It brings to mind the light we walk in, the shine of the moon, the color of distant stars. It’s often associated with the power of the astral universe, and brings many harmony throughout the day.

You can use a mix of colors with your silk, if you so please, but take care when choosing a pattern: the colors you choose should still have a clear dominant tone, so as to invoke the correct magic.

As for what to put inside your Druidic Periapt, I have the perfect solution. In the future, you could certainly research different blends of herbs, flowers, barks and other natural ingredients to add to your pouch, but in the meantime, I suggest cloves, the leaves of a cedar tree, the bark of an ash tree, a pinch of dark earth and borage flowers. All of these are proven to attract money! You can also add stones, crystals or aromatic oils if you see fit – whatever you’re comfortable with. A few drops of lavender oil will go a long way and a special coin (perhaps one that shares your birth year, or has meaning to you otherwise).

The Ordination Ritual

Once your periapt is complete, it will begin to work immediately. That said, I want to offer you further power by helping you consecrate it. This consecration, or ordination, will bring the elements together on another level and bolster it’s power tremendously, making it work more quickly and more potently than they usually do.  I will need your help to prepare the ritual circle itself, and from there, I will begin the ceremony from where I am.

First, draw a circle in chalk (or else, create one from salt) on a flat surface. Light a white candle and place it in the middle. Then, take all the ingredients of your periapt (the bag, the ribbon, the contents) and place them around the candle within the circle. Once you’re finished, clean your hands and sit before the circle in meditation.

With deep concentration, think of my name – “loudly”, if you know what I mean. Repeat my name in your head – this will alert me that you require my presence for the ritual, and I will stop what I’m doing and attend to you. You will feel the moment of connection – a tingle, a breeze – you’ll know it when you feel it.

Once we are connected, repeat this phrase to yourself 5 times:

Sanctificato hoc bullas, da mihi vires!

Do not worry too much about the pronunciation of the phrase, as most magic is about intention rather than precision.

Once you finish repeating the ordination phrase, place all the objects inside your periapt and close it with your ribbon or string. The ritual is complete, and you are now under it’s increased powers.

I’m excited for you, Friend , and for the wealth and prosperity you will soon experience! Keep it close to your body: around your neck, in a pocket or inside a bag you keep with you most of the time. It’s presence in your life is that of a loyal friend, and it will always be there to bolster your efforts and bring you all the good you deserve. One day, should you feel the need to part with it, you can simply empty the contents back into the nature it came from and remember to thank it for what it has done for you.

Before I leave you now, I want to remind you to look at The Magic Scripture I have offered you. I feel that throughout this process you have noticed how easily much of this comes to you – this is, to me, yet another sign of your connection to the mystical world. I believe you contain the hidden power of a rare few, and if you’re ever interested in delving further into the occult, this is the time.

Your friend and guide,
