It’s been the strangest few weeks for me
,
And honestly, that is saying something coming from someone with a job as varied, creative and fascinating as mine. I’m a psychic, a mystic, a mediumistic guardian. No two days are the same – two days are rarely even spent on the same existential plane!
But lately, I’ve become increasingly confident that the complex cosmic world is sending me messages, aiming to attract my attention.
I didn’t know why until last night.
Now I do, and I’m writing to you. Can you see where this might be going? I’ll take you through things from the beginning…
A few weeks ago, I woke up. It was early, the house was quiet, and nothing seemed amiss until I saw it – a path of rose petals led out of my bedroom, beckoning me to follow.
So, I did. I trailed their single-file passage down my stairs, through my home, and onto my back porch.
I followed them onto my grass, past the rose bush I’d assumed they originated from and into the center of a pergola at the bottom of my garden.
The trail ended on a small wooden table in that pergola. The only thing on the table (which I was certain I hadn’t put there) was a worn and yellowed map of my local area, folded up into a neat square.
Just beneath the map, someone or something had etched .
I didn’t know what to make of any of it, but I filed it away in my mind to think about later. I took the map inside and left it on my dining table.
Three days later, I went to bed with the map still on my dining table where I’d dropped it, and I came down to find it fully unfolded to a grand and imposing size, draped across most of my living room floor.
In the center of the unfolded map was a bar of solid gold, a potent symbol of wealth that usually resides on my mantelpiece.
I put the block back on the mantel, folded the map, and ensured this wasn’t a break-in. Nothing had been taken. Nothing else was amiss. Everything that needed to be locked was locked. So, I went back to sleep.
Then, the frequency of the strange occurrences started to increase. Everywhere I went, my attention was somehow drawn to maps, routes and guides.
To symbols of wealth and prosperity, too.
And always, the letter lingered nearby.
Finally, last night, the answers came. I was finishing up a session of deep and thoughtful divinatory study for another client when your head flashed into my mind, and I was dropped into a vivid dream.
