I have something incredible to pass on to you today

       ,

I’ve carried this ancient Egyptian artifact with me for over two years, waiting for the moment when it was time to pass it on.

Waiting for the moment (which I was told I’d recognize clearly and wholly) when a worthy next recipient became known to me.

Now, I’ve arrived at that moment.

I need to provide YOU with my Felicitous Felis Catus – a small, intricately carved figurine of a cat that originates from long, long ago. The Felis Catus is a beautiful blue, made from a sintered-quartz ceramic material known as Egyptian faience.

As you might already know, domestic cats were worshipped and encouraged in the Egyptian era, invited into homes and beloved.

They were considered hugely lucky and fortunate.

This figurine is similarly blessed and will bring you up to six months of immense and seemingly ceaseless good fortune – as it did for me when I first received it!

THE TALE OF THE FELICITOUS FELINE

Did you know that Egyptians weren’t the first to domesticate cats?

Until 2004, we thought they were, but newer research shows that civilizations predating this were scattered across the globe. Cats could live harmoniously with humans in various conditions, even before the Egyptians elevated their status.

Still, the popularization of cats’ utility, value and wonder is greatly down to Egypt and the Egyptian attitude of reverence for these remarkable, furry creatures.

They saw the luck and good fortune a kitty cat could bring to its owner if it was cared for and looked after. They saw power, fertility and justice in the feline form.

Certain Egyptian were even depicted with cat heads (examples include Mafdet and Bastet), evidencing the depth of love and respect held for cats at this time.

Over time and under ancient Egyptian care, many cats transitioned from rat catchers and de facto employees of the household to beloved pets and de facto family members.

This is the climate in which the Catus was made. This is how the Catus came to be, forged by an Egyptian mystic with a deep love for his four domesticated cats. Imbued with great power to attract, amplify and accentuate fortune.

He gave this Catus figurine the energies he felt confident his cats were giving him.

(Of course, he did not call it the Felicitous Felis Catus at the time. His complex Egyptian term for it has been lost to time, along with his name. But by the day it came to me two years ago, this is how I knew it.)

WHY ME? WHY YOU?

You might be wondering: Well, Elissa, how DID this Catus come to you? And WHY should it now come to me? What do you know that I don’t?

Let me answer all three. Let me tell you everything you need to know to make the right choice before the deadline encroaches…

It was, as you know, two years ago. And I was in a less-than-ideal headspace.

I was feeling down and deflated, fresh off a run of bad luck that was partially self-inflicted but partially down to the randomness of the universe (which can be equal parts mean and amazing).

I was dreaming as usual, but for about three weeks, a small, sandy-colored cat with prominent ears and shining green eyes would appear in every dream, night after night.

With time, the cat seemed to grow in prominence. It stopped being a background character and came into the fore more and more.

Eventually, I decided I needed to know what it meant and where the situation was heading. I took myself off to bed early and spent an hour at least before bed thinking of this cat – visualizing it and calling it to me.

In my dream that night, my focus paid off. It was just the cat and me, and I could speak to it as if conversing with another human being.

It explained that it was an ageless feline spirit that had been trusted to care for the Catus after the mystic’s death many years ago.

It had been doing this for a long time, sharing its gift with the right people at the right moments. But the spirit was growing tired.

After centuries of hard work, it was keen to change form and spread itself as starlight. So, it needed to pass the Catus on to someone who could be trusted.

Not just someone who needed it (which the spirit indicated that I did), but someone who could then pass it on to the next person in need.

This spirit had been watching my life through the dream world, determining my need and worth – and everything was in order.

I was asked: Will you pass this on to the next worthy candidate when your luck has been restored? Will you share the instructions I give to you with the next candidate so that this Felicitous Felis Catus’s legacy might continue to live on?

I agreed. When I questioned how I’d know who was worthy, the sandy cat explained that I’d receive a sign.

I was told: You’ll know when the moment arrives. You’ll know my sign when you see it.

(And I did!)

The cat then explained what I needed to do to connect with the figurine, disappearing from my view when its instructions were concluded. I woke with a start and wrote them all down immediately.

The Catus started to change my life and set me back on track within weeks, getting me out of my rough patch and propelling me to new heights.

Months later, when I knew all was well, I stored the artifact safely in my office and began to wait. I didn’t know how long it would be until a worthy candidate for the Catus came along. Not until yesterday…

Yesterday, I walked into my office and found your file in the center of the room on the floor, with the Catus placed directly on top of it.

Its unseeing stone eyes seemed to bore into me, declarative and sure.

I put your file and the artifact away and thought about it for the day, wanting to be certain before taking further action.

When I entered the office this morning, I found the file and the Catus in the center of the floor again.

So, it’s clear…
