Now, let’s discuss the Totem…

YOUR FELINE INTUITION TOTEM

Here it is. The Totem that sought me out so declaratively, knowing it could help you to connect with your instinctive, confident and serenely feline side.

It’s carved with undeniable care and expertise, and it’s yours to benefit profoundly from as soon as you’ve completed the following activation instructions: 

1. Print the image of the Totem or pull it up on a portable device. 
2. Find a place in your home that is bright with natural light. Gently place the Totem on a cushion on the floor in that place. 
3. Kneel before the Totem, hovering both of your palms just above the upturned image, and say: “Felis Simulacrum, I call forth all you hold within. Bring all your glorious energies to my heart – let the transfer begin.”
4. Slowly but steadily, lift your palms higher and turn them in toward your chest as if directing the flow of energy.
5. When your palms have fully turned toward your heart, say: “Felis Simulacrum, give intuition and self-knowledge. Let me understand and adore the only person I’ll ever know so fully.”
6. Close your eyes and observe a restful moment of silence as the activation takes hold.
7. Continue about your day as usual, storing the Totem somewhere safe if you chose to print it out. 

When these steps have been followed, the energies of the Totem will flow through you, and you’ll find it easier than ever to remain on the right path, enjoying each catalyzing event as it comes to uplift your life.

THE FIFTEEN FELINE TENETS

(As you may recall, these were initially outlined by the creator of the Totem but have since been modernized to suit the current day context.)

1. The people who love you will love your boundaries – Cats aren’t shy about it when they’ve had enough attention and would prefer to be left alone. Embody this yourself. Know that to love someone truly is also to love their boundaries.

2. Solitude is regenerative – If you don’t yet know the value of solitude, take the time to get comfortable with being by yourself. Like cats, happy and fulfilled people can spend time alone comfortably – and don’t crave constant company.

3. All opportunities are worth an initial exploration – A cat will often climb over/into/on top of items that weren’t intended for this purpose. You can be similarly curious, refusing to box yourself in by assuming something “isn’t for you.”

4. Flexibility and stubbornness CAN combine – Cats are physically flexible but often have stubborn personalities. Truthfully, this is the best of both worlds, allowing you to enjoy new adventures while sticking to your morals and principles.

5. Protect your territory and family, above all else – Putting your family and your home first is okay. It’s important, in fact, to protect what’s “yours.” As it would for a cat, the ability to institute this protection will bring you massive peace of mind.

6. A well-rested life is a good life – You cannot be your best self and live your best life while suffering terribly from a lack of sleep, as the feline kind understands better than any other species. Get your eight hours – or more, if you need them. 

7. Self-care should always be a priority – Cats are some of the cleanest animals. There’s a reason they rarely smell. More than this, cats know that self-care can be healing, soothing and calming. Be aware of this fact in your own life. 

8. Don’t turn away from conflict 100% of the time – You are strong, powerful and determined. If you need to fight – if the situation really calls for it – you can. Like a cat, you can stand your ground, know you’re right, and come out of it fine.

9. Don’t leave stones unturned – There’s always more for a feline to discover about their surroundings. They are interrogative and curious, as you should be – especially when brainstorming and problem-solving.

10. There’s room for fun and play every single day – You won’t find personal fulfillment without balance. Even the hardest-working big cats (AKA certified hunters and scary predators) take time each day to have a roll around in the sand.

11. Retribution can be subtly delivered – Cats understand that sometimes, revenge is a dish best-served cold. They also know that revenge isn’t even necessary at other times, and it’s better to ignore someone completely. Take that lesson on board.

12. You don’t have to speak it to say it loud and clear – Cats communicate in various ways, and though humans speak and cats do not, it’s still the same for our species. Convey your intentions through your actions, just as much as your words.

13. Clean up your messes to the best of your abilities – When cats go to the toilet, they usually do their best to tidy up their mess. Strive to operate similarly in a broader sense – don’t make your errors the responsibility of others to fix. 

14. Self-consciousness is a waste of time – Cats know they’re beautiful and don’t doubt this as they go about their business. It’s time for you to know that you are, too. The time you waste feeling self-conscious isn’t time you’ll ever get back.

15. Always strive to climb to new heights – In a literal sense, felines love to climb. In a metaphorical sense, you should always look to do the same. To keep going up a rung on the ladder of life. To keep elevating, learning and improving.
