But it doesn’t always happen by default. 

…Especially not during the winter nights when it’s easy to feel like you’re the only person in the world – or, at the very least, the only person in the world who doesn’t have any plans that evening.

Once you’ve completed your Christmas Cheer Conjuration, you’ll be filled with buoyancy, happiness and brightness – but you’ll still remember how you felt during past festive seasons. 

And if I know anything about you? I know you’ll feel bad that anyone you love might STILL feel that way in 2023. 

At this point, worrying for others as you often do, you’ll be ready to embark on the following instructions.

You’ll be itching to complete your Festive Connectivity Ceremony in 13 simple steps:

1. Wait for the evening to arrive on a day when you feel in the right headspace to welcome emotional experiences and immense, cathartic feelings. 
2. Gather, from around your home, five Christmas presents from five different people you love. These presents can be from any Christmas and don’t need to be of a certain price or size. You just need to know who they’re from.
3. Place the three largest-sized presents on the ground in a room where you won’t be disturbed, forming a large equilateral triangle that you can sit in the center of. 
4. Place the remaining two presents about a foot out from the triangle, in the center of two of the three triangle lines, so that the final outline, if drawn from point to point, would be a star. 
5. Take your seat in the middle of everything. Hold your palms in front of you, not quite touching, as if they are about to connect in prayer.
6. Press your thumbs together, ever so slowly and gently, keeping your other fingers apart, and whisper: I call the connective energies of the yuletide into my hands this blessed night. 
7. Keeping your thumbs connected and your other fingers apart, press your index fingers together slowly and gently. Whisper: This Christmas, let my love be the strongest of all ties that bind.
8. Follow suit with your middle fingers. Whisper: Merry and bright, I shine, let the ones in my heart shimmer with light as well.
9. Move on to your ring fingers. Whisper: In every touch I make, strands tighten together, and disconnection is dispelled.
10. Finish up with your pinky fingers. Whisper, for a second time: In every touch I make, strands tighten together, and disconnection is dispelled.
11. When your palms are fully connected, close your eyes and breathe into the moment for a while. Really feel everything that you’ve asked for. Let the emotions wash over you like water. 
12. When you instinctively feel that it’s time to spiritually resurface, go ahead and do this. Gently pull your palms apart and return your collected presents to their usual locations. 
13. Head to bed early, knowing the universe will work magic as you sleep. 

That’s the instructions in full,        . Re-read these a few times before you get started to ensure you follow them correctly as you actually work through the Ceremony. 

And please,        , start this Ceremony in the right frame of mind, as I’ve suggested during step one. Come to it open, ready to contend with your feelings and push past certain emotional boundaries.
