They are magical, beautiful, and powerful divinatory tools, yet I often find that people overlook them.

I’ve been an expert runic interpreter for nearly a decade, but it wasn’t the first foray I made into channeling my cosmic gifts and psychic abilities. Not even close.

I mastered the tarot long before I came to explore the great potential of future-telling through rune stones.

Then one day, to open my mind and expand my ways of helping clients, I dove into Nordic folklore and legend.

Here, in extraordinary Viking tales passed down through the ages, I found a wealth of insight. Avenues I’d never walked before seemed to be opening up to me at every turn. Methods, rituals and rites offered new perspectives and solutions.

For the Vikings, a rune was more than a letter in the alphabet. It was nothing even comparable to our A-Zs today.

The translation of the word rune means mystery or secret, and each rune was its own mystery. Its own destiny. These letters were revered, so they say, by the gods.

In Norse lore, it all starts at the world tree, Yggdrasil, a connector of different spaces and planes of existence.

They say Yggdrasil was inhabited by three Norns, creatures with divinatory powers who used the tree as their billboard from which to proclaim each person’s fate. Into the tree, they would carve runes representing one’s destiny.

The destiny revealed by the Norns was unshakeable, unchangeable, and ever-so-accurate.

To exemplify just how much the lore respected these runes and felt they were filled with wisdom?

Odin, the father of Thor and the leader of his godly kingdom, Asgard, sacrificed his life to Yggdrasil so that he could discover everything there was to discover about these runes.

So that he could access deep meaning in the magic

Each rune has a meaning, as each tarot card does. Each rune is an inch of the directed cosmic universe shining down on the ground.

For divination, readings and oracle sessions, runes are revealed and interpreted through the use of rune stones.  

You throw these beautiful gems carved with runic symbols (24 symbols in total, in original form) over a sacred, star-charged cloth.

This is a cloth that has been left out overnight under the stars to soak up all the light and energy of the upper world.

Then, when the stones are thrown, you divine from their arrangement. There are different arrangements for different stone numbers, but each gives a clear and honest answer to an asked question.

Common arrangements usually utilize odd numbers. You’ll often see a five-rune cross-shaped interpretation or a seven-rune v-shaped interpretation.

(Ours will be the latter – but we’ll get to that soon).

Last night, I was packing away my beautiful jade rune stones after a Five-Rune Cross Oracle for a different client.

This is what they look like…

They’re special to look upon and even more special to use.

Suddenly and very unexpectedly, one of these stunning polished gems seemed to leap with its own internal power clean across the room.  

I set down the velvet bag I had been pouring the stones into and the stones I had been pouring.

I rushed across the room to chase after this leaping rune stone, but it jumped again as I came near it. This time, it neatly placed itself atop a towering stack of client files (I was in the process of doing some re-organizing and sorting in my home office).

The tower was at least two feet high, maybe more, but the stone cleared the distance in one smooth motion.

The top file in that stack, my friend, was yours.

And the rune stone was slap bang in the center of it.

The dried ink of your name seemed to glitter up at me as if it was still fresh:        .

It’s essential to note at this point that, yes, these stones are useful divinatory tools, but no, they don’t have life forces.

In ever-unwinding threads, they reveal futures and secrets heretofore unfold. But they do this at the will and behest of the cosmic universe. They don’t have minds of their own. That’s probably the simplest way to put it.

So, I knew this stone moving was really the cosmic universe sending me a message about you and what you needed from me.

I looked properly at the rune stone and found that the rune depicted was Dagaz, or “Dawn.”

This rune symbolizes waking up, breaking through and developing a new sense of awareness.

This is the stone that showed itself to me, of all the options the universe might have chosen. And this is the stone that told me, loud and clear, that you needed a fuller runic Oracle.

You’re ready for new enlightenment. You’re ready for a new cycle. A new beginning. A new phase.

Here and now, you’re reaching a mental state where you are casting off the shadows of the past, ending a previous phase and preparing to move on.

So, to the rune stones which have served me so well for so long, filled as they are with astral insight and love, we will ask this question:

How can         finally step onto

         IDEAL LIFE PATH?

And we will get our answer.

UNPACKING THE ORACLE

Can I confess something? I’ve already performed your Future Oracle by Runic Fork!

Using a V arrangement (AKA a fork) with seven stones as my answers, I have come to understand the universe’s response to the all-important question I posed above.

If you give me your consent to share the results, I’ll happily do that as soon as I can. I’ll interpret and explain what I’ve learned in the simplest, most succinct way possible to impart the wisdom I’ve gathered.

I’ve stepped a little ahead and gone out on my own to do this Oracle without you, but I couldn’t ignore what the cosmic forces had asked me!

You still have the power to accept my learnings – and I won’t take that away from you.

I’ll simply hope that you choose to say yes to all I have to share.

The V arrangement I mentioned is best explained like this:

Are you starting to understand?

Place One is about past influences and their impact on the question. How does where you’ve been now inform how you might get to where you want to go? Place Two is about current influences. Place Three is about future actions.  

Place Four, the number between the two prongs of the fork, explains what you should 100% remember to achieve the best outcome.

Then, on the other arm of the V, Place Five explores your feelings, Place Six expands on possible problems you’ll face answering the question, and Place Seven solidifies the outcome you can expect.

Does that make sense? (It likely will once you’ve seen the actual Oracle and the runic symbols inputted in place of generalized explanations.) 

I won’t offer too many “spoilers,” per se, about the things I’ve learned and the runes that appeared. This information could all be yours soon enough anyway!

But I will tell you that one of the runes reminded me of the profound duty I have to you – the duty to care for you and protect you endlessly as you move through life.
