Now, turn your face up to the Moon. Let its invisible rays wash over you. Feel its energy as you stare up into the night sky. Don’t worry if the clouds are blocking your direct view. The Moon knows you’re there.

Take some deep breaths and prepare yourself to speak. And when you feel ready, I’d like you to say the following words. Make your voice as loud as you can.

But if you can only manage a whisper, that’s ok too. Luna herself will still hear you. Repeat after me.

For the next step, find a stick or rock. It doesn’t have to be any particular size or shape.

Trace the shape of a circle in the ground below you. This represents the eclipse. Then, run your stick over this shape in a zig-zag pattern. Repeat this step six times.

It might seem a little odd, but there’s a reason for this. You’re welcoming in a new chapter of lunar energy by saying farewell to those that have passed.

I know it’s deceptively simple but trust me on this one – its power is not to be underestimated.

We’re almost done. Just one final step. I’d like you to repeat the chant after me one more time.
