A Pocket of Cosmic Kindness is a two-month stretch in the broader tapestry of your life, during which the stars above shine in your direction, and everything goes your way.

It’s a time when, quite simply, the cosmic forces give you kindness, attention, and love to thank you for all the kindness, attention, and love you’ve been giving other people lately. For all the good you’ve been putting into the world.

Examples of actions and practices that might make a person worthy of a two-month Pocket of Cosmic Kindness include:

• Volunteering in your local community 
• Giving grace and patience to people in your life, from family members to colleagues
• Spreading love and positivity wherever you go
• Offering praise often and easily (and criticism incredibly sparingly and fairly)
• Striving never to leave a negative mark on the natural world

In one way or another, I see all of the above in your life’s tapestry. I see a person the universe needs to bless and repay! 

So, I’m sure it won’t surprise you to discover that I was practically jumping for joy when I learned about your Pocket entitlement. Let me tell you how that went down… 

And how we got to the less-than-stellar news…

Yesterday, I received an envelope in the post. It was powder purple, lightly perfumed, and heavier than your average piece of mail.

(As you’d imagine, it stood out against the stack of marketing leaflets and boring bills I found it in.)

It was a letter from an isolated group of star students and astral communicators. The people in this world most connected to the cosmic forces told me I needed to open my mind ASAP because these forces had a message.

I did as I was asked. I opened myself to cosmic energies, removing psychic barriers, and right where I sat in my meditation corner, a series of revelatory visions came over me…

1. A creature formed of starlight fashioning a pouch from its own limbs and detaching this precious object. 
2. A meeting of many of these starlight creatures. An agreement reached on what to do with the pouch. 
3. You, receiving this pouch in a beautiful ceremonial setting. Surrounded by people and starlight creatures alike, all existing in harmony. An offering provided and accepted.
4. You, enjoying happiness, joy, opportunity – all those things you’d been missing lately. 
5. You, changing your life for the better and meeting your fierce potential. Being the you that always lived within. 
6. A specific date range in the near future, burning gold in the darkness. 

Coming back to myself, visions fading, I knew what all of this meant. You were the chosen recipient of a Pocket of Cosmic Kindness. 

I also realized that that date range –         –         – was when your Pocket of Cosmic Kindness would span. It was so, so close at hand!

But… Let’s not forget the bad news…

As I readied myself to stand up, head over to the laptop and write to you with excitement and urgency, the visions returned.

They were running backward on themselves like rewinding, unspooling tapes. It was very disconcerting. Then, they hit vision three and started playing forward again. 

When the fourth vision came this time, I found you frozen solid in a block of blue ice. You still carried the pouch, AKA the “Pocket” of time, but given your condition, you could do nothing to change your life.

It didn’t get better. Opportunities came and went unclaimed. And then, uneventfully, it was over.

For the entirety of those two months, which I watched play out with agonizing slowness, you were immobilized. You were paralyzed. You were made powerless. THIS is the bad news,        .

Something wants desperately to keep you from your Pocket of Cosmic Kindness. Some strange parasitic creature, unfounded but forceful, is conspiring against you. Conspiring to halt your success, progress and attainment. 

I came back to myself again after the second round of visions, and I looked to the tarot cards to confirm what I’d learned.

Sure enough, positive card after positive card would be blocked from efficacy by one final, looming card of doom. I couldn’t outrun the unspooled visions.

Even the tarot told me: Listen, Elissa,         won’t benefit from this Pocket if something isn’t done.         won’t receive the universe’s earned and deserved gifts if this mysterious force gets its way.

So, I had to do something. But what? It was late, so I went to bed, but I tossed and turned all night, thinking up the best possible solution. 

Now, I’m writing to you, and I finally have that solution in my mind.
