YOUR CARNELIAN HAND OF HAPPINESS

Isn’t Carnelian so perfectly vibrant,        ? It gives me warm, loving energies based on aesthetics alone, without even accounting for the intense positive charge that this particular handful of stones has been blessed with! 

In order to double your happiness with your Carnelian Hand, you must:

1. Print out your Carnelian Hand or have it ready to view on a portable screen (a phone or tablet, for example).
2. Find five important objects in your home that are a warm, positivity-inducing color (yellow, orange and pink are all great color options).
3. As you gather these five objects together, make sure they are “important” in that they all matter to/are beloved by you, rather than in that they are just, say, expensive or rare.
4. Form these objects into the outer points of a five-pointed star. Create the rest of the star’s shape using a pale-colored ribbon, lace or string that you have around the house. Even something like masking tape could work!
5. Place the Carnelian Hand of Happiness in the very center of the star once it’s fully formed.
6. Standing over the objects and the Hand, trace a five-pointed star shape in the air over the five-pointed star you’ve created. Do this with the index finger on your dominant hand.
7. Slowly move into a kneeling position just in front of the star. Bend down as low as you’re able without actually touching the Hand or the star, and whisper:

Let me sparkle,

Let me shine,

If darkness must touch any hand,

Let it never in this life be mine.

8. Trace the five-pointed star once more, this time with the index finger of your other hand.

9. You have now done all you need to do. The Carnelian Hand will begin serving you once one full day has passed from this exact point.

These nine steps are all that separate you from massively increasing the levels of joy in your life, and I think that’s an unstoppably beautiful thing to know. Isn’t it nice to be at this stage?

The most brilliant people in the world are the people who know how to accept expertise and advice when it’s extended to them. I’ve always been one of those people, I’m proud to say, and in the process of constantly learning new things, I’ve become my own expert!

• Do not assume you can run from your feelings – try to face them head-on

• Never be afraid to dream too big, dreams are meant to be ambitious and bold

• You can almost always come back from a risk that doesn’t pay off – it’s much harder to stop regretting a road not taken

• You are shaped more than you know by the people in your life, for better or worse

• The difference between understanding a feeling and dwelling on it is all about intuition and time – you must know when the time is right to let it go

• To truly appreciate your strengths is to truly appreciate your weaknesses – one cannot exist without the other

• Know you have choices, and you can walk away from that which doesn’t serve you

• Sometimes, treating your body well isn’t eating healthy and working out – it’s giving yourself a break

• Never forget that behind every digital/online interaction you have with someone else, there is a real and complex person

• A good friend is worth about a million bucks, but being a good friend to yourself is entirely, absolutely priceless

• Treat people with the nuance they deserve, and don’t jump to conclusions

• Invest in hobbies that leave your soul singing (rather than wasting time on more popular pursuits that aren’t really for you)

• Express your love for the people you care about often and openly

• The more generosity you give in your day-to-day life, the more you’ll soon find you get back

• The key to continued joy is a good routine interspersed with a happy sprinkling of spontaneity
