I’ve had a friend named Fiona staying with me for a little over a week.

Fiona and I met at an international event for psychics and mystics years and years ago, but ours is a long-distance friendship, so most of our beautiful conversations are confined to the computer or phone (a little like you and me,        ).

We occasionally make an effort to visit in person and properly catch up, and it’s heavenly. We love each other deeply, and we’re always thrilled to see each other.

This year, it was Fiona’s turn to visit me.

Fiona is blonde with stunning green eyes. She has strong Irish roots and is deeply engaged with Gaelic folklore. In fact, she’s cultivated a more powerful connection to the faerie spirits than I’ve ever seen.

Usually, faeries slip past our notice – even in the mystic community – but she’s managed to attune herself so effectively that she can ACTUALLY SEE THEM!  

You have to be so connected to do that,        . I mean it.

A few days ago, Fiona returned from a solitary early morning walk and told me that a group of faeries in the woodland behind my house was presently very active.

We talked about faerie lore for a while then, and she enlightened me regarding a lot I had not known before.

She told me just how immensely lucky and loving these special little sprites could be if approached in the right way.

She then said that it would be a good time to grant faerie favor to a client of mine who was in need, and I agreed. There’s always someone who could benefit from the luck of the Irish fairies, after all!

I didn’t know that someone would be you just yet, but I would soon enough.

We went back to the woodland on a brisk forest walk that afternoon, and I was introduced to a brand new world. There’s no other way to describe it.

We found a mystical clearing in an area I’d never managed to stumble across before. The grass seemed to soften to moss in an instant. The light shifted.

The air was foggy with magic and sweet scents, and all around me, little spots of bright green light glimmered. They reminded me of fireflies.

I asked Fiona: What do you see? (She had told me that most people saw light if they saw fairies at all but that she could discern them clearly. She could see their truth.) 

Fiona responded: A very friendly bunch.

I felt at ease.

A tall, proud hawthorn tree dominated the clearing, and we headed for it. We sat beneath the tree, calm and still, as Fiona led a communion between the faeries and the two mystics that had entered their midst.

Much of what happened, I couldn’t understand. This isn’t my area of expertise,        , and the perfumed air made me feel dizzy. Still, with Fiona, I knew I was in safe hands.

When she turned to me and asked me to choose a client with vast human worth to become one of nine Elevated Folk for a whole year, I thought of you so quickly. Nobody else even entered my head.

If I needed to pick someone genuinely and utterly worthy of the “life-changing blessings” Fiona told me would be passed on, it had to be you.

I said your name, and a beautiful green stone was carried over to me by the tiny lights and dropped into my open palm – the Crystal of Faerie Blessings.

Set in a base of hawthorn wood, sparkling with faerie energy, Fiona told me that this stunning Crystal would, in time and with your consent, be passed on to you.
