Even before you’ve been submerged in the pool of self-actualization, I hope you can now see how underrated the spring equinox is in modern society
,
In the end, I suspect it all comes down to our decreased connection with nature. We don’t see ourselves in the flora and fauna anymore. We can’t relate (or at least, we don’t try to).
I wasn’t sure if you were like this, though I hoped you weren’t. Now, your decision to respect the equinox and claim this Path shows me that you aren’t.
And your life is about to change for the better for it…
YOUR SPRING EQUINOX SELF-ACTUALIZATION PATH
THE CHANGING PHASE
The Changing Phase is an emotional processing session, and it’s all about asking and honestly answering important questions – some about the future, some about the present, and some about the past.
Find a comfortable place to sit, and take up your position with a few pens (in case any run out) and a pad of paper to hand. Ideally, drape a blanket over yourself to weigh your body down and keep you grounded throughout, and complete the session in the daytime to eliminate the use of any artificial light.
When you’re ready, write answers of no more than four sentences for each of the following questions. Take as long as you need, but don’t overthink. Nine times out of ten, your instinctual response is correct.
- What’s the biggest mistake I ever made? Did I fix it?
- What’s the hugest victory I’ve ever experienced? Why?
- What are the strongest parts of me (not physically)? Why?
- What are the weakest parts of me (not physically)? Why?
- What makes me flawed as a human (as we ALL are)?
- What makes me impossible to replace and utterly unique as a human?
- What do I want to do but feel unable to achieve? Why?
- What does failure mean to me?
- What does success mean to me?
- What person do I admire most? Why?
- What person would I least like to be like? Why?
THE REARRANGING PHASE
Since the Changing Phase is so thought-provoking and heavy, I’d never recommend jumping straight into this phase on the same day. Be sure to let at least 24 hours pass, and then begin the Rearranging Phase with a fresh head and an open heart.
Refer to your answers from the Changing Phase with the distance you’ve created by giving it time. Create relevant “to-dos” for every question by asking more specific, actionable questions on top of those you’ve already answered.
- “What’s the biggest mistake I ever made? Did I fix it?” – Could it still be fixed if it wasn’t? Where would that process start?
- “What’s the hugest victory I’ve ever experienced? Why?” – By determining what made it such a huge win, can you see where you could find new wins of the same or greater magnitude?
- “What are the strongest parts of me (not physically)? Why?” – How can you hone these strengths and play to your advantage in pursuing your dreams and goals? Which strengths will put you ahead of the competition, and in which areas?
- “What are the weakest parts of me (not physically)? Why?” – Could this change? If so, how could it change? Where does that process begin?
- “What makes me flawed as a human (as we ALL are)?” – Does this need to change, or must it be incorporated and worked around? Can you know yourself well without criticizing yourself?
- “What makes me impossible to replace and utterly unique as a human?” – As with your strongest parts, how can you play your uniqueness to your advantage? What gap in the metaphorical market do you fill?
- “What do I want to do but feel unable to achieve? Why?” – What moves would you have to make to bring this unachievable thing within reach? Do you want to make these moves, or do you want to move on?
- “What does failure mean to me?” – Do I need to redefine it? How can I start to do that? What kind of people should I talk to? What should I read?
- “What does success mean to me?” – Exactly as above, do I need to redefine it? How can I start to do that? What kind of people should I talk to? What should I read?
- “What person do I admire most? Why?” – How can I emulate this person in my own life? How can I incorporate the things I love about them more fully into myself?
- “What person would I least like to be like? Why?” – How can I avoid this eventuality? Which protections must I put in place for myself and my mind?
THE LEARNING PHASE
The calm comes before the storm, and the opposite is equally true. The storm comes before the calm. The Learning Phase’s tarot revelations will be invaluable as you complete the tasks you identified in the Rearranging Phase.
They’ll allow me to provide the necessary guidance to keep your life on the right path, even as you’re chopping and changing things. Even as you’re feeling, in all likelihood, a bit emotionally tumultuous. Self-actualization takes work, but everything within this Path connects you to your true potential. Hold onto that.
Card Number One: Seven of Cups, Reversed
Reversed, the Seven of Cups tells us that you know you want things to change right now, but you’re not sure what shape that change needs to take. You feel as if you don’t have a clear direction in this life, and you’re actively figuring a lot of stuff out.
That’s very much okay, as long as you’re aware of this issue and working on it (AKA doing the things demanded of you in the previous two phases). And as long as you always remember that it will pass. You’ll pull through the confusion, and your head will clear. These things take time.
Card Number Two: Ace of Pentacles, Upright
Our first upright card of the reading is another from the Minor Arcana, but it represents something very different from the first: brand-new chances, opportunities, and options to explore.
As we come into late spring, , you’ll be growing a lot. Learning, changing, improving. You’ll be knee-deep in self-development. And as a result, you’ll put yourself in many new spaces – both physically and mentally. You’ll create room for things to prosper where there was no room just months prior. That’s a huge win!
Card Number Three: King of Cups, Reversed
I was thrown off by this card when I first spotted it, but I soon sensed its meaning loud and clear. The reversed King of Cups is not a positive card. I call it the “cold shoulder” card because it embodies icy, resentful vibes.
Here, none of those vibes come from you. As you step into summer, having utilized the new options and opportunities of late spring, you’ll find you’re experiencing much success. And you’ll also see, quite unexpectedly, that this fact infuriates some people who claim to be your “friends.” My declarative advice, , is that you steer well clear.
Card Number Four: The Chariot, Upright
Card four is such a clear answer to card one that I laughed in excitement and delight when I saw it. The Chariot (upright), also the only Major Arcana card in the draw, is a card of power and clear, certain direction.
It’s letting us know that by the close of August, your era of confusion about your life path will have well and truly concluded. You’ll know what you want and how to get it, and you’ll have, in most cases, the confidence to execute your plans. Talk about living up to your potential, ! Trust your instincts, and you’ll achieve so much in the latter half of summer.
That concludes your Learning Phase and, consequently, your Self-Actualization Path.
