Card One – Romantic Life Illumination: The Empress, Upright

Upright, The Empress is a stand-in for our beautiful mother nature. For the importance to be found in a strong connection with the elemental forces and the earth that we stand on, as well as the importance of soft, kind love.

In the context of your romantic life, the clear indication is that vulnerability and fertility are two things you can never have too much of. If you can make time to be fragile, honest, caring and growth-focused, you can ensure harmony and happiness with your lover.

Card Two – Interpersonal Life Illumination: Queen of Cups, Upright

The Queen of Cups – the second powerful woman of your Reading, but this time from the Minor Arcana – is also upright and represents similarly loving traits to Card One. 

She speaks to the importance of relationships with family members and close friends in which you can feel peaceful and safe. She encourages you to pursue those for continued (and likely, increased) happiness in your interpersonal sphere. Don’t chase danger. Chase good, caring company.

Card Three – Emotional Life Illumination: Six of Pentacles, Reversed

This is the first reversed card and (spoilers) the most negative one. Negative cards are pretty rare in a Sunshine Enlightenment Reading, given the nature of the deck.

Reversed, the Six of Pentacles expresses a need to be in charge and in power. An unwillingness to loosen the reins. It warns us that you’ll struggle to attain inner peace and happiness if you keep unfairly limiting yourself emotionally. Feel what you feel. Don’t hold back. Don’t be so scared to let go of control for just a moment or two.

Card Four – Financial Life Illumination: Page of Wands, Upright

Financially, the upright Page of Wands tells us that the best way for you to win is to try new things, explore new areas of interest, and chase investments that genuinely excite you. There lies the route to financial security and comfort.

What you’ve done before hasn’t worked for you. Perhaps, if you’re really committed to making money worries a thing of the past in the months ahead, it’s time to try something totally and utterly different.

Card Five – Professional Life Illumination: The Hierophant, Reversed

The Hierophant is a severe and traditional card when found upright – but it came to you reversed to bring sunshine-seeking advice to your professional life!

Similarly to your financial life, and no doubt at least partially connected, card five recommends that you try a new approach to work and subvert expectations (whether they be your own or someone else’s). A slightly out-of-the-box approach could make all the difference here, bringing new life, vigor and energy to your soul and work.

Card Six – Astro-Spiritual Life Illumination: The Moon, Upright

How fun to end a sun-focused reading on The Moon, which is, of course, the sun’s greatest counterpart and closest astral friend. In tarot, The Moon (upright) represents intuitive, subconscious thoughts not spoken out loud. Tentative, gut feelings.

I’ve done some initial ceremonies of connection to forge a bond between you and the Pendant ahead of your receipt of it, so it should already know you quite well by the time you print it out and store it somewhere safe, close to where you sleep at night.
