The Ritual

The Key of Force and Power requires you to wear (or keep on hand) your Focus of Venerable Nexuses! This is a critical detail, so don’t forget this as you continue!

The rite needs to be completed on a Sunday evening, after the sun has already gone down and the stars have become visible in the sky. Choose the nearest Sunday you possibly can in order to trigger these events as early as possible! Then, you’ll need to collect the following:

• 1 sheet of paper

• 4 candles (any kind will do!)

• 1 black pen

• Incense or dried herbs
• Your Focus of Venerable Nexuses

It is very important to have your focus with you as you complete this ritual, whether displayed on the screen or printed. It’s best to gather these materials before you complete the ritual, to give you time to ensure that everything is ready.

• Find a place where you can be undisturbed, somewhere quiet where you have access to a surface like a desk or a table and commence when the time is right.
• Using a compass or a map, identify true north and place your candles at North, East, South and West accordingly. Light each one.
• Light your incense, or else allow the dried herbs to sit in a saucer in the middle of the candles.
• Keep your Focus close and concentrate on the power it brings you, and think hard on the flames themselves as well.
• Speak the following out loud seven times:

“I beseech the divines to lend me their power, their grace and their fortune as I walk this path of light.”

• Now, on the sheet of paper you have, write down the three virtues you most want (for example, prosperity, fortune, love, happiness etc.). Write them large and bold so that they take up most of the paper.
• Now speak the following, once:

“I ask that you bring me [the virtues you wrote down] as I consume the power you have given me. I feel your strength and protection is with me and your faith in me will not go unfounded.”

• Very carefully, bring the Northern Candle and your sheet of paper to the sink and alight the paper. Once it becomes lit, allow it to fall into your sink and allow the ashes to wash away with the water.
• Now you may blow out the candles and incense and clear the area. You are now complete!

This ritual may seem deceptively simple, but is in fact only part of what must be done. I will carry on the rest and the divines will see and reward your determination.
